Kimberley Ann Deal (born June 10, 1961) is an American musician, best known as the bassist (and lead/backup vocalist) of the alternative rock band the Pixies. Kim Deal generally plays four-string solid-body bass guitars and always uses a pick, particularly the "green Dunlops with the little turtle on them." In this interview, Kim Deal compares her simple style to that of 'real bass players'.
