John McVie

John Graham McVie (born 26 November 1945) is a British bass guitarist best known as a member of Fleetwood Mac. His surname, combined with that of Mick Fleetwood, was the inspiration for the band's name. On "The Chain", a song from the band's best-selling album Rumours, the final section of begins with a solo bass progression. Thanks to its use as the theme tune for the BBC's Formula One coverage, it has become a highly recognisable bass line.
