Josh Homme

Joshua Michael Homme III (born May 17, 1973) is the singer/guitarist best known as frontman for Queens of the Stone Age. Possibly an unexpected inclusion here, Homme often creates songs around basslines, several of which he chooses to play himself, live. Whilst many argue he plays bass 'like a guitarist' he has a unique sound and style that is instantly recognisable. In an interview with High Times, Homme stated, "I have this bass that I call the magic bass. It's a '68 Yamaha, and you take it out and instantly music just comes flying out of it."

For once, a supergroup that actually lives up to the name.
